Altrincham Business Improvement District
In November 2015 businesses in Altrincham were invited to vote on establishing a Business Improvement District (BID) in Altrincham town centre, and delivered a resounding ‘Yes’ vote in favour of the proposal, with a majority of 68% of voters (74% by rateable value).
The BID was launched in April 2016 and is run by businesses for businesses, with a Board of ten local representatives predominantly from the private sector who oversee the work of the BID Team. The Board and BID Team are supported by two Advisory Groups covering Professional Services and Town Management.
Giving more reasons to visit, more often; creating a strong and stylish consumer identity for Altrincham; promoting the breadth of retail and leisure offer across the town and delivering a high quality cultural offer through events and festivals to attract and retain visitors.
Putting the heart back into Altrincham to ensure that shoppers and local residents feel welcome in the town, placing the town centre at the core of the community.
