HS2 - Altrincham, what does it mean for your business?

6 Sep 2018

By connecting Greater Manchester to the Midlands and South with fast, frequent and reliable services, HS2 will open up opportunities for Altrincham’s businesses to extend their reach and maximise their potential. HS2 is Europe’s largest infrastructure project. Each major contract to build HS2 will result in 10,000s of opportunities in the supply chain, with 60% of contracts expected to be awarded to SMEs.

Altrincham Unlimited, the town’s Business Improvement District is offering to all of the town’s businesses the opportunity to attend an event specifically for them.  The event will highlight the potential opportunities and outline the HS2 construction programme.

Elizabeth Faulkner, the BID Manager at Altrincham Unlimited explains, “We’ve got part of Europe’s biggest infrastructure project happening on our doorstep and we wanted to offer Altrincham’s businesses the chance to find out how they could benefit and prepare. We also appreciated that businesses would have many questions, from how HS2 contracts would be awarded to whether the construction phase would affect them”.

The event, which takes place on Tuesday 18th September at 5.30pm at the Cresta Court Hotel, is FREE and open to all Altrincham businesses.  There is no need to register.
