SO Marrakech bring Artisanal Moroccan Homewares to Altrincham

Founded by Anissa Damoussi in 2018, ‘SO Marrakech’ is an authentic Moroccan homeware and accessories brand, which has this weekend opened its doors on George Street in Altrincham town centre. The forward-thinking brand and its passionately creative founder have a focus on combining natural materials, sustainability and centuries' old techniques with a modern Moroccan aesthetic.

Anissa’s mixed Moroccan and English heritage has seen her travel through Morocco exploring the country with her family from an early age.

“I feel particularly lucky to have such a close connection with Morocco, a country that has inspired me creatively for many years. During my time there, I have formed fantastic relationships with some of the best craftspeople across the country, from basket and carpet weavers, to glassware makers and artists. SO Marrakech has given me the opportunity to share the talents of these artisans, by showcasing collections of some of my favourite pieces, handpicked by myself on regular buying trips to Morocco. Marrakech is my second home and I hope people enjoy experiencing a little piece of this magical City in Altrincham, as much as I look forward to joining the thriving community and mission to revive the high street with independent retail.” Anissa Damoussi

The new addition to George Street offers a true taste of Morocco. A feast for the senses, where you can browse the brand’s unique collections and sip a complimentary glass of their authentic Moroccan tea.

Beyond the SO Marrakech in-store experience, they also welcome bespoke orders for items big or small, as well as an interior design service for those wishing to bring a little Marrakech to their home... From the Red City to your chosen room in a matter of weeks!
