Join Altrina, Altrincham’s Good Witch, for family fun this October Half-Term 2018

19 Oct 2017

This Halloween Altrincham will play host to a bumper week of fantastic family half-term fun with a mysterious family town trail and children’s spooky silent discos, run by Altrincham Unlimited, Altrincham’s Business Improvement District, in conjunction with ‘Our Kids Social’, plus a fiendish family-friendly Ghost Tour and ‘yarnbomb’ installation.

The FREE family town trail will be themed around Altrina, Altrincham’s Good Witch and will run from Saturday 20th – Sunday 28th October 2018.   The naughty goblin of Goose Green has cast a fear of flying spell over poor Altrina - the good witch of Altrincham. Children are invited to help Altrina gather the missing ingredients for her potion, so she can break the spell and be back on her broomstick in time for Halloween.  Pick up a trial sheet from GIFT+HOME (19 George St) and help Altrina gather the ingredients for her potion which are hidden in the shops around the town.

This half-term there will be Spooky Silent Discos on Friday 26th October at Altrincham Conservative Club on Market Street. With four sessions taking place throughout the day, tickets are just £3 and include the disco and themed games with prizes, plus freaky family photo frame and face painting for perfect Halloween pics! Fancy dress is optional. Tickets can be purchased on Eventbrite.

New for this year there will be a family Ghost Tour which will take place on Saturday 27th October.  The tour has been designed for Altrincham Unlimited by award-winning tour guide Jonathan Schofield who has also been behind the successful ‘Explore Altrincham’ Walking and Pub tours.  It promises to uncover some of Altrincham’s spookiest stories.  The family Ghost Tour can also be booked via Eventbrite.

Also, don’t miss the ‘yarnbomb’ installation which will be in place along the length of Shaws Road throughout the October half-term, bringing some spectacularly spooky colour and creativity to the town centre.  For more information and how to book visit:
