Orangetheory Fitness put Member Support at the Forefront of Re-Opening Plans
OTF are re-opening with complimentary General Health Assessments for all.
- Complimentary Health Consultations, including body composition scans
- OTF plan to welcome people back to not only the, ‘Best 1-hour Group workout in the country” but also the, “Cleanest 1-hour Group workout in the country”
Last week, gyms and fitness studios throughout the country were dealt a disappointing blow when the government announced that they were not on the list of industries that would be reopening at the beginning of July. However, Orangetheory Fitness Midlands & Northern England have taken steps to turn this small setback into a brilliant opportunity to reach out to their members by offering complimentary Health Assessments and Coach Consultations. Therefore, the Altrincham & Derby studios intend to open their doors from Monday 6th July to help support their members as they prepare to return to the studio, their regular fitness routines and back on track with their personal goals.
“One of the key tenets of Orangetheory is the importance of community within the Orangetheory family,” says Jason Zavasnik, Franchise Director, “which is why part of our plan for member re-engagement includes a complimentary General Health Assessment for all of our members, putting member health and wellbeing at the forefront of our re-opening plans.”
So, what will this mean for the company and its core membership base?
One of the key aspects of Orangetheory’s plans is to enable members to get a look inside of the studio with all its COVID-19 precautions in place. This will not only help members become acquainted with the new systems that have been put into place, but also help alleviate any safety concerns that members may have, with staff on-hand to answers any potential questions.
As a company, Orangetheory has always emphasised the importance of cleanliness and an organised studio, but the latest precautions will help to ensure that it is not only the ‘Best 1-Hour Group Workout in the Country’ but that it is also the cleanest. The Altrincham & Derby studios have undergone a full deep clean, and staff will be undergoing full training on the new cleaning and safety procedures prior to the re-opening. These procedures will include shorter class times to allow for additional cleaning protocols, minimised shared spaces, socially distanced stations, and an even greater focus on cleaning and sanitising equipment throughout their classes.
Orangetheory is built on its great relationship with members, and these procedures aim to put member health and comfort at the forefront of their re-opening process.
The opening of Orangetheory will be primarily focused on providing members with Health Consultations with their coaching team. These consultations will include a review of the current activity levels of members and their existing lockdown exercise program, alongside blood pressure tests and body composition scans (in partnership with Boditrax), all of which will be used to provide members with advice on how to get back into their workout regime before the coronavirus pandemic.
These 1-2-1 personal consultations with the coaches in the studio will be used as a ‘Body MOT’ to help support a healthy lifestyle for their members, help with goals reset, and to help them take the first few steps back into the studio in preparation for tackling their first in-studio class.
Whilst Orangetheory and other members of the fitness industry may not have an official date for reopening, it is clear that Orangetheory Fitness is doing all that they can to help their members navigate the new fitness landscape post-COVID and to support their return to the studio when the time comes.
